Description:
Nepal Natural and Human Resources Development Association (NAHUDA) is a national, non-profit, non governmental organization established in 1992 with a mission to develop human resources to provide services in reproductive health, services to women. Its main objective is to provide no-frills services in the filed of women's health issues. They are concentrating on preventing cervical and breast cancer by means of cervical smear screening and propagating techniques to educate and promote self-breast screening. This organization needs help from nurses or doctors to help with their screening and camps. They also require help with administration and data collection/research.
Highlights:
Volunteers may participate in a number of tasks, including, but not limited to: 1. Reviewing of present reporting (clinical + field activities) system to make more effective. 2. Participating in NAHUDA's office management and clinical activities 3. Involving to find out more resources for NAHUDA 4. Participating in extension work (field orientation) and field camp 5. Helping NAHUDA with women's health research to help promote prevention and screening for women in Nepal. 6. Collecting resources and run a village field camp
Qualifications:
Volunteers should be patient and be able to work independently. A background in Computer skills, organizational skills and an interest in health and medicine are assets. People who are not self-driven and motivated may have difficulty at this placement.

Cost Include Description:
Upon arrival in country our staff will pick you up at the airport and return you to our Orientation Center for a safety briefing and general country orientation. For this program you are required to complete one week of language training and orientation which is included in the cost of the program. A the end of that week, you will transfer to your placement to begin volunteering. Our staff are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you require help of any kind.

Typical Volunteer: We believe everyone can contribute by volunteering. Recent graduates from high school, college or university, professionals taking a career break, recent retirees, individuals or groups who are interested in a change and the chance to enrich their own life and the lives of others. If you are 18 years or older you can apply for any of the placements available. If you are from 16-18 years old you may apply for placements near our Volunteer Abroad Office and Residence, so that we are able to give you more support. Both students and professionals are needed for placements in all our countries
