Description:
Responsabilidades: -Asistir a los Promotores locales de Salud con las consultas con los pacientes, lunes a viernes, 8am-4pm. -Viajar a comunidades remotas Q'eqchi'es con el equipo medico, cuando posible. -Tomar turno en la clínica por una semana para asistir en emergencias en rotación con los otros voluntarios.
Highlights:
Live on the Río Dulce in the humid tropical rainforest of eastern guatemala and work with a group of Q´eqchi mayans who have organized thsi project in order to improve their community and their childrens´future. Work with local health promoters in a rural primary health clinic to help members of the local Q´eqchi community food and housing are covered by AAT.
Qualifications:
Requisitos: -Médico, Enfermero o Estudiante de Medicina en el último año de estudios. -Tener interés en trabajar en una clínica rural en una país en vía de desarrollo. -Un compromiso mínimo de 3 meses. -Español nivel intermedio.
Cost Include Description:
- Food covered by AAT-rice, beans and tortillas - On site housing provided by AAT - Volunteer can stay at office Guatemala City when arriving/ leaving - Volunteer must purchase their own travel insurance - Personal travel and travel to and from the project is covered by Volunteer

Typical Volunteer: Most volunteers who come to Ak´Tenamit are independant and flexible. We look for someone who is ready to work the same full-time schedule as the employees, who is open to trying new things, and who shares the organization´s vision and mission.
