Intercultural exchange with the children of Wando island

Dates: July 30 - August 11

Description: Wando is a small island located in the south-west, about 400 km away from Seoul. Because of the distance, the local people do not get many opportunities to see and meet foreign people. In this respect, the project will play an important role in bringing the local children and people to get a taste of diverse cultures.

Volunteers will be the bridge between the children and the world through the intercultural activities such as international games, cooking, and teaching English, camping at a beach. Volunteers will organize many other creative and fun activities for local children and youths.

Free time: The volunteers will experience cultural events and visits around tourist sightseeing places during their days off.

Location: Wando island, Jeollanam Province, 400 km south-west from Seoul.

Qualifications: Responsibility and motivation to work with children is very important in this project.
