Description: The castle of Montsoriu is a proof of original medieval architecture in Catalonia. The Arbucies Youth Council has been working for its restoration for several years now, as a means to give value to its local heritage.

The international volunteer team will carry out different renovation tasks in the Gothic castle and its surroundings, and will do classification of the found archeological pieces.

Free time activities: From excursions to the surrounding area, ethnologic museum, to workshops on recycling, massage, medieval stories,...

The project takes place in Arbúcies, province of Girona. Montsoriu Castle is located in the Natural Park of Montseny, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and very near to the Costa Brava. It is a unique example of the military medieval architecture in Catalonia.
