Description:
Come teach sports in India! Ask anyone who has been to an Indian cricket match and you will be left with no doubt that the nation is passionate about sports. Embracing this commitment at a grass-roots level, our Sport Placements in India work with schools all over the southern provinces. There are placements where you can help coach volleyball, a sport rapidly growing in popularity in India, basketball, track and soccer as well as the established favorites of tennis, badminton and of course cricket. The schools we work with don't have the resources or people to dedicate to sports. As a result, sports struggle to achieve the prominence they attain in richer countries. Your help will make a difference to kids' health, and in promising cases, with their sporting futures. Most children - boys and girls - seem to have great enthusiasm and an unlimited appetite for sport. If you have the time and energy to help out there are many children, parents and schools who would be extremely grateful.
Highlights:
India is a truly amazing place - spectacular scenery, quaint villages, fascinating and magnificent temples, sandy beaches and lots of sun. It has all this and an ancient culture. For the vast majority of visitors, it is a place they long to return to again and again. All accommodation is organized, paid for and monitored by Projects Abroad. All project placements are regularly visited and checked. We require high standards of supervision and accommodation, which are verified before you arrive in India. This project offers the opportunity to become fully immersed in the culture in a manner which even the most hardened of backpackers could never hope to do.

Cost Include Description:
The price of each placement includes all your food and accommodation, transfers to and from the airport, full travel and medical insurance plus support and 24 hour back-up from our staff based around the world.
