Care For Vulnerable Children in Ecuador!

  Ecuador
  • Quito:
  • Quito
  • All Other Regions of Ecuador:
  • Calderon

Duration of Program: 1-2 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 1-2 weeks
Dates: year round

Description: Play with and teach bright, happy children from impoverished families in Calderon, Ecuador. You're needed to assist teachers and help expand and maintain residential, training, and daycare facilities. Our service program enables you to provide direct, hands-on care for pre-schoolers through an amazing grassroots organization. No matter your background, your personal efforts improve these youngsters' well-being. What's more, through your service program cost, Global Volunteers is able to purchase materials directed to the children's immediate needs.

Highlights: You can make a lasting difference in these young lives. Work with the enterprising women of FUNDAC to provide direct, hands-on care for village children and help improve two great childcare facilities. You will also have time to enjoy the wonders of the country. Ecuador is one of the world's most geographically varied, species-rich countries and nearly all of its natural treasures are within your reach. From Quito, you can travel to colorful Andean markets, remote jungle villages and warm Pacific beaches. Or you can tour this magnificent capital city. This chance combines hands-on service with cultural immersion in a unique way where your contribution lasts a lifetime.

Qualifications: Everyone can help. No professional qualifications necessary. If you enjoy nurturing children, or working with your hands to improve their living conditions, you can be a valuable resource on this program.
