Description:
Our Nairobi Orphanges and children's homes require the volunteers to work along side the existing staff to care for the children. We have 4 in and around the town. They need to be given attention, fed, dressed and kept active within the homes. Other tasks would be to clean and tidy the homes as well as cooking and other small jobs.
Highlights:
The highlights of the children's home volunteering project are incredible. Seeing the change in children before your own eyes is very rewarding. Kenya is a warm and friendly place where the staff of the home would make you feel like family. The weather is hot and there is plenty to do in your spare time. From the bars, cafes and resturants of the city to visiting animal orphanges and going on safari. We can also combine volunteer breaks with beach stays on the clear white sandy beaches of Mombasa. Kenya is also a great country to travel. Vast mountain ranges for walking and climbing to scuba diving off the coast. Wildlife is abundant everywhere and the costs of living and moving around also cheap. It's also a safe country for foreign visitors.
Qualifications:
You don't have to have any formal qualifications for volunteering in or children's homes. You do have to be adaptable, flexible and prepared to face and hear heartbreaking stories of the children's backgrounds.
Cost in US$: From $940 including all meals. quality accomodation available in modern complex with swimming pool.

All accommodation and meals provided. Airport transfers, use of ground staff and all inductions. Bottled water.
