Description:
The volunteer teaches conversational English to Karen students living at Pataravitaya School and helps out with other classes. Occasional weekend trips to Karen villages and to local refugee camps are also part of the program.
Highlights:
The school provides an air-conditioned room with bath (furnished), free meals, and the use of a motorbike provided by the school. Volunteers can learn about the local community, Thai culture, and the lifestyle of Karen villagers.
Qualifications:
Volunteers should have some teaching experience and at least a Bachelor's degree to meet visa requirements. The position is in a rural location so the volunteer should be comfortable living in an isolated, agricultural community.
