The hospital is located on Jomo Kenyatta Avenue, central in city of Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city. Mombasa is a busy city due being the major seaport for import and export, supplying not only Kenya but is the largest port of commerce for the east coast of Africa. The city itself is a mixture of old and new, from beautifully placed colonial buildings, to the modern city sky scrapers. Located between 2 exceptional beaches, with miles of white sand, fringed with the beautiful serene Indian Ocean, it is breathtaking and has a lasting impression. However being a 'developing' country, Mombasa is still faced with the poverty that is rife throughout Kenya, which is evident in the day to day living.
