Description:
Help create a new national park in pristine Patagonia, Chile when you volunteer with our Patagonia National Park Project. As a volunteer on this groundbreaking project, you will work with scientists and park staff to collect data and carry out restoration work for one of the largest and most ambitious conservation projects in the world. The goal of the project is to transform a ranch in southern Chile into Latin America's newest national park, one that will be roughly the size of Yosemite National Park. In order to convert the pastureland back to its natural habitat, scientists are now studying the native plants and animals and putting together a restoration strategy. Volunteers will work hands-on with scientists and local guides to conduct scientific research and to help eradicate non-native plant species and replace them with indigenous vegetation. Through these efforts, you will help preserve Patagonia for generations to come.

Volunteer Adventures's Mission Statement: The mission of Volunteer Adventures is to create and promote volunteer opportunities that improve the lives of others and the environment in which we live. We seek to achieve this goal by connecting worthy local projects with volunteers around the world.
Many local organizations are doing great work in their communities, but don't have the resources required to recruit international volunteers. Volunteer Adventures serves as the link between these organizations and the volunteers needed to make these projects a success.
All volunteer programs depend on the skilled coordination of a variety of elements: enthusiastic volunteers, meaningful work, organized projects, and supportive staff. It is our goal at Volunteer Adventures to orchestrate this process for you. We use our global experience and resources to provide volunteer experiences that bring pride and satisfaction to everyone involved.
