Description: This 10-week package includes 1 week Kiswahili small talk language course, 7 weeks tailored community work, 1 week safari programs including N'gorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park, Coral Islands (Dar es Salaam Marine Park) and Zanzibar Islands. Community work can be done in town projects and/or at Masai villages. We tailor the actual work program for you. All adventures all inclusive, 2 meals a day, project transport, airport transport, orientation, work place guidance.

You will get a thorough picture of the Tanzanian life in towns and villages. You help at the communities and on and off you have a break at safaris.

Highlights: Encounter African life from towns to the villages. Have a cultural look at the Masai village. Socialize and learn Kiswahili. You can select work placement from some 30 different options from nursery schools to environmental and health sector, practically anything in your interest. Work program is spiced with unforgettable safaris and all safari income is used to support the community work projects.

Qualifications: Minimum 18 years old preferred. Younger people with elder's guidance.

Art in Tanzania's Mission Statement: Volunteering and adventure tours in Tanzania. Helping poor and underprivileged. Supporting arts and music. To enhance the livelihood of the rural villages, orphans, women and tribal people as the Masai tribe. We also perform environmental projects as introducing fire bricks made of waste materials to avoid forest cutting for charcoal. We operate in grass root level so the work is easy to attend to all volunteers. We finance our operations with the small profits from the attending volunteers as well as from our other financial resources as from meaningful safaris.
