Description: As a non-profit organization, Lotus sponsors and organizes a number of volunteer programs in China. We hope that through these activities, you will be able to offer help to the needy, understand different cultures, and build friendships from around the world.

Highlights: The scenery of the Tibetan areas are extraordinarily beautiful; and the local people are natural minded and kind hearted. However, as the altitude is over 4,000 meters, the living conditions are rugged. For volunteers, food and accommodation will be provided. Food is Zangba (Tibetan food made from highland barley), rice, yak meat, cabbage and potato. Accommodation is shared dormitories.

Many Chinese people have lost touch with traditional culture and the teachings of their ancestors. Lotus wants to help local communities to understand that glorious heritage. We regularly organize seminars and lectures about traditional Chinese culture and invite our host families to join us in this. At the same time, overseas students and travelers can learn about traditional Chinese culture from our host families.
