Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a degree or experience in teaching to give lessons to either the children or the teenagers. As a teacher at Casa do Caminho, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Give lessons in various subjects to the children or teenagers
* Develop new ideas and means to motivate the children and to transfer knowledge Besides your key responsibilities new projects are always welcome to be set up!

Qualifications:
Skills:
* Intermediate-Advanced Portuguese skills
* 6 months - 2 years volunteer/trainee period
* Degree or experience in Teaching/Tutoring Social skills:

We prefer people who have worked in developing countries before.

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
