It is expected that ten trees are cut down while one tree planted in the world today. Due to the rapid deforestation, global warming, decreased biodiversity, soil erosion, and desertification are only some of the problems the whole world is suffering. As a developing country, Nepal is also cant be an exception. The green forest of Nepal was considered as a treasure of income sources and slowly its being swept up.

The deforestation in Nepal is leading to shortages of animal fodder and firewood that affects agricultural based economy of the country. In response to this concern, our Environmental Awareness Program volunteers can work with the community forest development committee and promote the equitable and proper management of meager forest resources.
