Description: Located in the heart of Granada, the youth center provides meals and a wide variety of educational and vocational program for the needy youth of the region. Volunteers can get involved in sports, arts, music, English instruction, meal preparation and more.

Highlights: The beautiful city of Granada, located on Lake Nicaragua, retains its colonial charm. There is much to see and do in this region, and there aren't many tourists to spoil the experience.

Qualifications: Good Spanish skills.

Cost in US$: 4 Weeks with Accommodations and Most Meals: US$1175

Typical Volunteer: There is no typical ELI volunteer. We work with people from all over the world and a variety of backgrounds. ELI has placed volunteers ranging in age from 18-81. Successful volunteers are flexible, upbeat, energetic, and inquisitive.
