Description: Women's leadership training program, promotion and protection of human rights among maquiladora workers, advocacy program, and the micro-credit program.

Highlights: The beautiful city of Granada, located on Lake Nicaragua, retains its colonial charm. There is much to see and do in this region, and there aren't many tourists to spoil the experience.

Typical Volunteer: There is no typical ELI volunteer. We work with people from all over the world and a variety of backgrounds. ELI has placed volunteers ranging in age from 18-81. Successful volunteers are flexible, upbeat, energetic, and inquisitive.
