Description:
This organization serves to rehabilitate and provide vocational training to disabled and physically challenged individuals. Currently they house 70 individuals at the Centre. Areas of training include catering, education, rural craft, hairdressing, dressmaking, needlework, agriculture, and basic numeracy. Volunteers are needed to assist with various vocational training seminars. They would be especially interested in someone who could give tutorials on basic computer skills to both the staff and residents of the centre. A volunteer would also helpful to expand their recreational programming by creating and running activities for the residents.
Highlights:
Specific Tasks for the Volunteer would be to: - teach basic numeracy - assist with training in the fields of hairdressing, catering, textile design, rural craft and needlework - assist with agricultural training and maintenance of the farming and animals on site - give seminars on basic computer skills - education: math and english Other possible side jobs include implementing recreational programming such as sports and games, and training staff to use the computer.
Qualifications:
Some knowledge of one of the basic training areas, such as basic computer skills and experience with vocational training seminars. Staff will also help to train volunteers in these areas. Patience, initiative, and creativity will all come in handy at this placement! Volunteers who require structure and constant instruction from staff may have a difficult time on this placement.

Cost Include Description:
Upon arrival in country our staff will pick you up at the airport and return you to our Orientation Center for a safety briefing and general country orientation. For this program you are required to complete one week of language training and orientation which is included in the cost of the program. At the end of that week you will transfer to your placement to begin volunteering. Our staff are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should you require help of any kind.

If you are 18 years or older you can apply for any of the placements available. If you are from 16-18 years old you may apply for placements near our Volunteer Abroad Office and Residence, so that we are able to give you more support.
Both students and professionals are needed for placements in all our countries.
