Description:
Volunteers will be given the opportunity to design and implement workshops for entrepreneurs and community based organizations. These workshops will focus on items such as how to write proposals, create budgets, create business plans and how to become self-sufficient. Other potential jobs: helping to set up locally based projects with individuals who want to make a difference. Volunteers will also have the ability to train others and evaluate project development. 8 Staff Members, 2 females and 6 males. Age range between 25 and 50.
Highlights:
Ajumako is in the district capital of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District. It is has four beautiful rivers that supply good drinking water to the residents of the area. Crops such as maize, bananas, mangoes and coco grow abundantly in this area. Ajumako is located about a half hour away from Mankessim, a very active market centre with a wide variety of fruit. The closest city center is Cape Coast which is only a one hour drive from Ajumako. This placement needs volunteers to strengthen the organization's capacity to support their programmes.
Qualifications:
* Volunteers who have some background knowledge on how to facilitate a workshop would be an asset to this project. Any back ground in the field of development of business would also be extremely beneficial. * Being willing to conduct research and create reports on various topics would also be beneficial. * Minumum Education: Undergraduate

If you are 18 years or older you can apply for any of the placements available. If you are from 16-18 years old you may apply for placements near our Volunteer Abroad Office and Residence, so that we are able to give you more support.
