Description:
Set outside of Cape Town in the heart of the Cape Province, this penguin rescue centre has cared for over 83,000 seabirds during its 38 years. You will learn how to catch, handle, feed, tube and administer medication to a variety of seabirds, as well as assist in the Intensive Care Unit. You will also sail to Robben Island, one of the world's largest penguin colonies, to release the penguins you have cared for. These release voyages are the ideal opportunity to see some of the Cape's whales. The accommodation is in half board local home stays. We also include mountain biking on Table Mountain and a day's wine tasting tour, by mountain bike!
