Conservation Discovery

  South Africa
    Port Elizabeth

Duration of Program: 1-2 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: Throughout the year

Description: Join this 12 day theory and practical course in the South African bush and improve your personal knowledge of wildlife and conservation.

The conservation course covers aspects such as animal identification, game counting, nature walks, game drives, botany, animal behaviour, history & culture and a visit to Addo Elephant Park. The conservation course will include a sleep out in the African bush, which will provide field exposure to the volunteers.

Highlights of the conservation course are often the wilderness hike, plus the game drive on a private game reserve and a visit to the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuary.

The luxury tents are situated a short distance from 2 fully equipped bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers. The bush camp's most enchanting feature is the lodge area with shaded veranda areas and the classic outdoor furniture offers the opportunity to kick back and relax in style!
