Description: Tinkuy Peru has commenced a new project working to help young children working at a local brickyard. These children, some as young as 6, work half days carrying heavy bricks in the brickyard to help support their families. The project will provide an educational and play program for the children to help them get out of manual labour and improve their future prospects to break out of the cycle of poverty. Your day will be spent helping these children and teaching English to disadvantaged children at the Andean School.

Tinkuy Peru's Mission Statement: is to work as a community organization aimed at planning and implementing educational, environmental and healthcare activities in the impoverished region of Huancayo, Peru. We aim to promote voluntary work for both public and private organizations and institutions. Our goal is to offer moral, spiritual, intellectual and material support to children who have been subjected to family or society abandonment, or who have experienced social or domestic violence.
