Description: The FCA is a small organization dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art within Ghana, West Africa and Africa as a whole. The organisation provides an information resource for artists, regularly holds workshops and exhibitions, and provides a space for artists, curators and academics to share ideas on the future for African art. The organisation is based in Accra, within offices very close to the city centre. It has very close links to the international diplomatic community with Ambassadors and High Commissioners on its board, the University of Ghana and to international art associations.

Current Placements Opportunities:

* Office Administrators
The role will be to provide administrative support, contribute to stakeholder relationship management, and provide creative input to the organisation of events.

* Project Coordinator
Set up and implement new projects with other organizations. The volunteer will be required to support the coordination projects & establish projects with other organizations.

* Fundraiser
The intern will be required to look at the options for fundraising, meet with potential donors (such as UNESCO and private institutions), draft fundraising proposals.

Foundation for Contemporary Art

Highlights: You will be required to frequent galleries and cultural organizations in Accra, to attend occasional evening events, and represent FCA with other volunteers of the foundation. This will be a wonderful way to learn about the city and meet people.

Qualifications: The volunteer/intern must have an academic or professional background in the Arts or Development.
