Description:
Kenya needs health care volunteers to work in a number of rural health centers. As a health care volunteer in Kenya, you will assist the doctors and dentists in the center and provide medical treatment to the patients like dressing wounds and distributing medicine. You're responsibilities will also include education on health and hygiene issues from domestic abuse to HIV/AIDS. You will work a minimum of 20-25 hours a week. It is helpful for the volunteers to learn some Swahili language, so our Kenya volunteer projects also tailor one week Language and Cultural Immersion Program to learn the basic language, and Kenyan culture and lifestyle prior to starting your volunteer work.

Qualifications:
A qualified candidate for our Kenya Health Care Volunteer Project will have a combination of health care industry education and experience. We accept medical school students and long-term hospital volunteers as well as medical professionals or military and otherwise trained medics.
