United Planets Quests offers volunteers a unique blend of work, cultural emersion, and fun. All ages and skill levels are invited to apply. Everyone has something to offer! Ecuador Health Service Quest : One of the social sectors of Ecuador that is most in need is services for disabled people. As a volunteer you have a great opportunity to help and support this sector of the population by taking part in a project where people with disabilities are supported in order to find their talents and potential. You will assist and support the development of individuals with disabilities of all ages with the aim to work on integral health services and physical rehabilitation. Volunteers without medical training will help as facilitators for such tasks as: patient mobilization, orientation within the center, recording patient information, assistants to the therapists and some administrative work. Specialists in medicine are allowed to work directly with patients in cooperation with the local doctors. They can also participate in special medical visits to patients in surrounding areas.
