Description: This is both a national and local effort that offers support services for families in marginalized areas.

Either work in the central office in Oaxaca performing administrative duties or travel to very marginalized communities around Oaxaca assisting local families. Onsite help depends on communities' needs at the time. Much help needed with children's programs, including working with 'special needs' children.

* Minimum commitment: 24 weeks.
* Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate

AmeriSpan has evaluated hundreds of schools, host families and destinations to determine which programs to offer. Our independence allows us to give you unbiased evaluations of the programs. We do not just list what is included, rather, we clearly state our opinions. Each program description contains a program review that describes what we like and what we don't like about the program.
