Description: The project takes place in Wenchang, about 70 km away from the main city of Haikou on Hainan Island. Wenchang town consist of a closely related community with a rich culture.

During the project, the international participants will work together with other volunteers and local students of different ages. The main activities consist of:
- Developing friendship between the participants and the local students and teachers.
- Visiting schools around Wenchang town.
- Teaching English with the local English teachers.
- Learning Chinese and local language.
- Taking part in some sport games with the students.
Along with teaching the local students English, it is very important to let them meet friends from other parts of the world, thus giving them a chance to expand their horizons.

Activities during the weekend will be going to the beach near Wenchang, visiting the cultural temples, etc.

There is an extra fee of 1.500 Rmb (about $190 US) for participation in this workcamp, intended to support the hosting organization.

CADIP - Canadian Alliance for Development Initiatives and Projects's Mission Statement: CADIP is an independent, non-governmental, non-religious, not-for-profit Canadian organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Through various youth initiatives, Cadip promotes peace, cooperation, tolerance and understanding in international, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural surroundings. The organization also promotes patterns and examples of civil activities focused on serving others, on building social ties and strengthening communities, on supporting civil society development.
