Description:
Volunteers have the unique opportunity to experience Ghanain culture first hand and get to know the Ghanaians through living and working with them side by side in service projects that help contribute to the development of this beautiful country. Peaceful and welcoming, English-speaking Ghana is one of five West African countries that border the Gulf of Guinea. Ghanaians are rightfully proud of their rich heritage: their country's lush rainforests and tranquil beaches were home to the Ashanti kings who once ruled one of the greatest empires Africa has ever seen. Volunteers can choose from projects in environmental protection, orphanages, health care, and English teaching. Our staff in the US are experienced volunteers themselves who are happy to share their experiences and expertise with prospective volunteers. Our partner staff in Ghana are friendly, caring and dedicated to ensuring that all volunteers have a rewarding experience.
