Description:
Experience the beauty of the Australian wilderness while you work to preserve it! Work side by side with local Aussies and fellow volunteers from around the world on meaningful conservation projects throughout Australia. Unlike most tourists, volunteers have the opportunity to do more than just scratch the surface and instead experience the real Australia first hand. Volunteers are placed with local service projects in environmental and wildlife conservation. Volunteers receive an orientation to Australian culture and the volunteer placement upon arrival. Volunteers typically work in small groups with other international volunteers form around the world. An assigned mentor at the project site provides assistance and support throughout the program, and volunteers generally live in clean, comfortable shared housing or in some cases with screened local host families near the project site.
