Volunteers work outside on our 106-acre campus with our Land Manager on any of our ongoing and varied land stewardship projects. Reforestation, trail maintenance, native plant projects, and organic gardening are common daily activities. Volunteers also help assist in our environmental education classes, interacting with the school children.
Highlights:
The cloud forest is unique and amazing! We are one of the only environmentally focused schools in Central America. Our mission is to nurture a new generation of ecologically aware individuals by providing them with the skilled and motivation to make environmentally and socially conscious decisions on a local, national and global scale. Stay with a local family while working on our conservation projects, Spanish lessons, workshops and trips included.
Qualifications:
We are looking for people who want to volunteer at the Cloud Forest School. Our volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and have conversational/fluent English. Spanish is not a requirement, although it is helpful. No experience is necessary, although previous volunteer experiences are helpful.

$161 a week includes a local family homestay, Spanish lessons, some workshops and trips. Our homestay families provide a private room, 3 meals a day and laundry.
