Description: This program offers its participants a truly unique and remarkable way to experience Ghana. By living and working side-by-side with local residents, volunteers have an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community while experiencing a total cultural immersion that cannot be matched by conventional travel programs. Volunteers can choose from teaching, orphanage, environmental conservation, wildlife conservation, health education, and community development projects.

Highlights: Ghana is a coastal country in West Africa with regions of dense rainforest, dry savannah and grassy plains. Ghana is known for its thriving tribal culture, rich exports of gold and cocoa, and beautiful terrain. Despite its amazing landscape and rich culture, the nation still relies heavily on international aid to provide basic needs to some of its poorer citizens. World Endeavors volunteer programs are in areas where help is needed the most.

Qualifications: Volunteers must have: English language fluency, a desire to help the people of Ghana, flexibility, self-motivation, openness to a new culture and a willingness to learn.
