Description:
Ahmedabad, the largest city in Gujarat, blends an ancient heritage with a vibrant presence. It nurtures in its pages of history a show-case of exquisite harmony. The city is named after a Sultan who founded it in 1411 and graced it with splendid monuments. Ahmedabad is the second largest prosperous city in Western India. It is a place where tradition and modernity co-exist in perfect harmony. Ahmedabad is the hub of trade and commerce in Gujarat. Besides being home to a number of important industries, Ahmedabad also has a number of majestic monuments, which remind us of the great historical and cultural past of the city. The project activities will be in rural development and teaching to the rural kids and their families health and social awareness, water harvesting, and learning about local festivals in that region. There is an extra fee of USD 175 for participation in this volunteer project, intended to support the hosting organization.
