Description:
Teach English to University students in Beijing. Volunteers assist is an elective course open to students hoping to improve their speaking skills through discussion based interactions with fluent English speakers. In the past, the participants in this course have mostly been women. The goal for the course is to inspire confidence in the students' spoken English, motivate the students to use their English skills, and open the students' eyes to opportunities available throughout the English speaking world. It's an excellent opportunity to gain experience teaching conversational English without committing to a year long contract. Typically volunteers commit to one to four months.
Highlights:
Volunteers teach conversational English classes focused on improving speaking and listening skills. The flexibility of this program allows participants to explore topics such as fads, pop culture, current events, fashion, music, and entertainment with Chinese College students.
