Description: Learn Spanish and teach indigenous children in stunning south-western Peru around the Colca Canyon, where the desert meets the foothills of the Peruvian Andes. Run in conjunction with leaders and teachers of the communities, you will assist with the education of children and adults who otherwise may not have the opportunity of a full formal education or who need educational reinforcement. GVI volunteers also assist the understaffed schools in the region. Volunteers are given food and accommodation with a local family based in the colonial town of Arequipa and transported daily to the communities. Weekend adventure activities are included such as a 3-day trip to the Colca Canyon, mountain biking and horse-back riding.

Teach Indigenous Children in Peru

A free 3 day adventure trip gives you the opportunity to enjoy what the country has to offer.
