Description:
We are Students Travel and Exposure South Africa (STAESA) a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). STAESA works very closely with groups, individual, schools, colleges, universities, communities and NGOs in capacity building, development and sustainability. STAESA has been in existence since 1995. STAESA programs are not just for students -- everyone can participate. STAESA started working in South Africa. Today STAESA sends over 100 volunteers to more than 60 communities in more than 15 countries in Africa. We also connect over 100 foreign NGOs and individuals, schools, colleges, and universities to programs, events, and community projects in Africa.
Highlights:
Students Travel and Exposure South Africa (STAESA) is a registered Non-Profit Organization (NPO) based in South Africa. Any fees you pay to us go directly into the program. We promote and enhance cultural exchange and we bring development to over 50 communities in 15 countries in Africa. We link up these and other communities and countries in Africa to similar overseas Governmental organizations, Non-Profit Organizations, groups and Individuals. Together we make a great difference in the lives of the people of Africa. Our programs are not meant only for students, but also for anyone over 18 years old. Our interesting, unique and affordable programs are not only a great way to get exposure, but also a great way to be part and parcel of STAESA's great programs -- to jointly champion great relief programs to the people and communities in Africa. We are very eager to have you in our program. There is a growing demand for professional volunteers. We see potential growth in this area and are expanding programs geared toward professionals.
Qualifications:
No previous experience or qualification is necessary. The most important qualifications are: you must be 18 and above, self-motivation, open-mindedness, flexibility, and a sense of humour. Also, the ability to travel independently and mould your own experience is strongly suggested!

Salary / Pay: Benefits: (1) International Students Identity Cards will be issued to participants on arrival for discount purposes. (2) Five days orientation is organized for all participants (3) Participants will be given bicycles where necessary to shuttle between their respective work places and homes. Participants return the bicycles to STAESA's office at the end of the programs (4) Participants will be provided with handsets for easy contacts. STAESA takes back the handsets at the end of the programs (5) Certificate of participation is awarded to all participants at the end of the programs (6) Program fees include one month visa extension fees (7) Affordable health / travel insurance USD 120 for 90 days
