Home Stay Volunteer! Teach at a Thai countryside school! Motivate children and adults to learn English and to learn to use computers. Help underprivileged school children to use computers and to speak and spell English. Home stay with a family, teach with a Thai teacher! Play games and sports with the kids! Exciting but challenging chances to go places yet unknown to normal travelers! To really meet, live and work with the local people in villages and schools. A unique cross cultural experience much unlike backpacking and staying at guesthouses or volunteering and living at a volunteer dorm! Volunteers must be able to work independently, accept simple living conditions, be in good health and be able to gain the trust of local people.

Volunteer Conditions Homestay with a local family. Free accommodation and meals in the villages, Openmindprojects reimburses the families/schools. Openmindprojects 2 day week end orientation in Nongkhai.

What you can expect as a volunteer Openmindprojects arranges for volunteer placements (please note that you volunteer for the placement not us!) Openmindprojects discuss volunteer work with placements/schools/institutions before volunteers go there Weekend Introduction: to your work and placement, advice about Thai / Lao life and culture, language introduction. Daily and classroom vocabulary, how to work with local people, teachers, staff and students/children. Accommodation at most placements (You are welcome to our House in Nongkhai during your free time). Meals at placements unless otherwise agreed. English and Thai/Lao speaking contact persons during your stay in Thailand/Laos. A Certificate as a successful volunteer. You pay for your travel to the destination, to and in Thailand, insurance, medical treatment and personal expenses.
