Description:
Our teaching programs in Thailand offer the best volunteer and cultural experiences at the lowest fees. Teach English in schools and other institutions in the provinces of Nongkhai and Udon Thani. Travel to Teach runs affordable but very ambitious programs for teaching English and computer skills in several countries. We are based in Thailand so our volunteer opportunities here are quite extensive. We live in rented houses of good standard, 3-8 international volunteers together, we have Thai and "farang" volunteer coordinators at most places we teach, and we offer extensive introductions to Thai language and culture. We also set up our own teaching in Wats (Buddhist temples), libraries, and other locations.
Highlights:
Thailand is a wonderful country in which to volunteer. The welcoming attitude of the Thai people, their desire at all ages to learn English, and the beauty of the landscape - coupled with the integrity of Thai culture - makes Thailand an ideal place for volunteering. From downtown Bangkok to the rice farming villages of the Isan region, Thailand is a nation that is moving into modernity. Thailand has recently experienced relatively strong economic development, but large parts of the population are being left behind. There is still a strong desire for Thailand to keep its village/community based culture that is so strong and that fascinates so many Westerners. There are many reasons for wanting to volunteer abroad and whether you are taking a Gap Year, career break or working vacation, Travel to Teach can introduce you to all aspects of this extraordinary culture.
