Description:
Each year, hundreds of children leave their destitute villages to find work in Nepal's crowded cities. As a result, most of these needy children are deprived of education and find work as child laborers in restaurants, factories and hotels. These disadvantaged children need attention, love, care, and the opportunity to further their education. Global Crossroad's Orphanage Project offers Nepal's street children the devotion and hope they deserve. Our volunteers teach basic English and other subjects such as math and science in creative ways to these eager learners. As a volunteer, you might also organize tours, games, drawing classes, singing, dancing, painting and other activities that children enjoy. Volunteers may help the children prepare for school, help with their homework, and organize arts and crafts activities.
