Description:
Right near to the capital of India, Delhi, there is project going on to provide nonformal education to poor & deprived section of the society. This program is dedicated to underprivileged children and women who are deprived of an education in the village nearby to Delhi. These projects also aim to develop skills & inculcate the manners & teaching about health to the deprived, under privileged society specially women and children, who are frequently denied of their identity in the community. The program offered provides rewarding and challenging opportunities to all volunteers who wish to volunteer in India. First, you will be given orientation by Indian staff and local volunteers, who provide you with the conceptual framework of how to cooperate with rural Indian people. Then, you and our volunteer staff will visit and explore our local projects sites. Many rural men and women are engaged in project activities and you will also take part in nonformal education activities such as: - Teaching English - Teaching good health tips & manners. - Skill Sharing Services to women and children Volunteers can also help the local organization with various tasks like preparing and delivering the project works. The technical work includes designing programs, making/ designing training programs, assisting community research, documentation and arranging teaching and training manuals for other's use. You will also be called upon to participate in various skill development activities trainings and teaching programs.
