Description: There are a number of things that you can do and many ways that you can get involved with 'Angeles que Aguardan'. Our program with Street Children is open to everybody who wants to share and have a unique experience. We have the street children program in 3 cities in Peru - Cusco, Puno and Trujillo.

We are an organization working to help rescue these children from their life of misery and abuse, on the streets of our cities. We strive to offer a chance of a future to children, as young as 5 years old, who spend day and night in the streets starving, stealing, and slowly becoming addicted to glue. 'Angeles que aguardan' provides a program of care and education.

The Volunteer Educator position is a two-month opening working with street children. Class topics may include English lessons, health education, organized sports, crafts, trades. Volunteer educators will work on the streets where children work and live daily. Each volunteer educator will have a group of street kids. We are in need of Volunteer Educators at any time of the year. Prospective volunteers must have a conversational Spanish proficiency and a passion for working with children, experience living or traveling independently abroad is highly preferred.

Qualifications: A volunteer needs to be a very responsible person, open-minded, punctual, creative and makes a good job with the street children.
