Volunteering by Teaching Korean Language

Duration of Program: 3-6 months
Typical Duration of Program: 9-12 weeks

Description: The volunteer is to teach Korean language to young people who are interested in Korean culture and to young people who are intending to study further in Korea or to work in Korea.

Highlights: The volunteer will teach Korean language in a class twice a week for two hours. The volunteer will have enough time for private activities to meet and to know local people and culture. During the week ends and holidays the volunteers will have enough time to visit various tourist destinations and excursions in the province.

The volunteers will be provided with one month Indonesian language intensive training to be able to communicate with local people and enjoy their stay.

Qualifications:
- Male or Female
- Korean language proficiency
- Good health condition
- Ability to be in and enjoy being in different culture
- Health and travel insurance coverage
- Friendly

  • Cost in US$: US$1,375 for three months of stay

    Cost Include Description:

    - Pick up at local airport in Makassar
    - Room/accommodation
    - Food twice a day at home
    - Maximum three days city orientation
    - One month intensive Indonesian language course
    - Consultation wherever and whenever needed during the whole stay

    Insurance is not provided. Every volunteer has to be covered by health insurance. Allianz Insurance is recommended, since Allianz is the only international insurance company which has it brach office in Makassar. The health insurance may also be purchased at Allianze in Makassar before arrival.
