Description: We offer the following programs in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and surrounding rural areas: Teaching English, Volunteering at Orphanages, Medical Volunteering, and 28-day Cultural Tour of South India.

Highlights: Participants live with a local host family who has been carefully screened and briefed. Most family members will speak good English. Your family will provide you with all meals, a private room, laundy service (usually), and inclusion in regular family activities. It's a unique opportunity to gain real insights into Indian culture, practice one of local languages like Hindi, make some lifelong friendships. Orphanage volunteers can often stay at the orphanage itself in a private room. As with the host family stay, all meals are included in the program fees.

Qualifications: Cosmic Volunteers simply requires of participants fluency in English, enthusiasm, and an open mind. The only exception is for medical volunteering - participants must be studying or practicing in the healthcare field, such as doctors, nurses, EMT's, medical students, and nursing students.
