Description: ELI offers a variety of volunteer opportunities targeting the needs of underprivileged children: street kids, orphans, students from poor families.

Highlights: The Philippines has been described as one of the world's best-kept secrets: this nation of 7,000 tropical islands offers pristine white beaches, turquoise waters, ancient rice terraces, virgin rainforests, volcanoes and some of the friendliest people in Asia. Explore this magical place and its diverse culture through an ELI volunteer placement on the historic island of Leyte.

Qualifications: Open to all 18 and older.

Cost Include Description:

* Airport pick-up and drop-off
* All in-country travel and coordination
* Philippine food and accommodations $50 per week.

* Tour of Tacloban City
* Tour of the Santo Nino Shrine and Heritage Center
* Visit to MacArthur Beach at Palo
* Volunteer placement
