Description: The language school has two locations, the principal location is in Cusco, Peru at the well known San Blas square. You also can study in a small colonial village near Cusco named Cai Cay. You can enjoy the local tranquil life and food directly from the garden. Also you can help the local primary school here by teaching or organising activities for the childern.

The aim is that you learn Spanish in a fun and familiar environment. Our teachers are professionals and have great enthusiasm in teaching Spanish and developing new teaching methods. You can get one on one lessons or take a group class. A group consists of maximum 4 people that have the same level of Spanish. On the average there are 2-3 persons in a group.

You can stay with a middle class Cusquenian family to encourage you to talk Spanish all the time. You get three meals a day and one time a week they wash your clothes. You can participate in voluntary work project in various fields. You get guidance from the school in this. We do not charge for that. Activities included like salsa, cooking classes, evening of playing games, film nights etc.

Highlights: The San Blas Spanish School is about learning Spanish in a fun and familiar environment with the help of professional and enthusiastic teachers. You get flexible lessons and can participate in various programs to get you immersed in the peruvian culture. This is a no nonsense school, we want to help you to speak Spanish but also to get to understand the Peruvian culture, a very valuable experience. We offer volunteer programs through different ineternational organiisations. You need to sign up for this with them.

Qualifications:
1. Identify with the problems in your field of interest or profession
2. A person of good mental health and emotionaly stable
3. Not addicted to hard drugs
4. A basic / sometimes intermediate knowledge of Spanish
5. Able to adapt to the Peruvian culture
6. Teamplayer
7. Accept the rules of the volunteer institution
8. Workingtime 4 weeks or longer

Salary / Pay: The projects do not pay a salary for volunteer positions.

Typical Volunteer: A San Blas volunteer is commited with the Peruvian culture and understands their situation. He or she is willing to help using his / her experience and interest and not to judge their situation. Voluntary work is possible from 4 weeks or more.
