Description:
Teaching English in Mongolia is very challenging, but it is also very rewarding. Most of the Mongolia Volunteer teaching projects are located in of the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar. Students in public school are basic learners: boys and girls (from ages 8-16), in class sizes of about 15-20. Also, volunteers can teach English in a variety of non-profit schools, which aim at helping destitute citizens. A volunteer usually teaches three to four hours a day, for five days a week. If you have other skills, like knowledge of computers or drawing, you can teach these along with English as well. Most of the time, you will be provided with a fixed-curriculum English book to help you teach, and you will be requested by school authorities to develop your own projects that aid students in learning English. Teaching English in Mongolia project not only benefits students at our projects area, but you will also get tests of Mongolian culture and people through teaching.
