Description: Make a difference and explore Machu Picchu and the other Incan Ruins of Peru during your Winter Break! Join us in the picturesque Sacred Valley of the Incas lined with snow-capped Andean peaks for an unforgettable and rewarding experience.

In addition to numerous adventures, fun people, and Spanish classes you will help build a local school, install clean burning stoves for families, provide basic medical services, or participate in environmental protection projects with other ProPeru volunteers. This truly is the New Years of lifetime!

Winter Break at Machu Picchu

Highlights: Real projects...real experience! Participate in a development project and work side by side with locals. Hike the Inca Trail, watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu, see the sun temple of Pisaq, and experience the mystical city of Cusco.

These and other weekly adventures combine with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique Winter Break experience. Join a fun and adventurous group of people, and make this a New Year's of great memories!

Qualifications: All participants must have an adventurous spirit. Development projects are determined by the specific interests of participants and the needs of the local community.

Program fees help support ongoing development projects and include:
- Extensive Pre-program support and information
