Building New Hope: Volunteer Teachers Needed

Durations of Program: 5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks and 3-6 months
Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks
Dates: Continual

Description: We have a need for teachers for elementary aged children who do not attend other schools. We need teachers for basic education, art, computers, sports. We appreciate any talent that can be shared with young children and teenagers, i.e., teaching bicycle repair, car maintenance, cooking, music, chess, etc. We would like to start an adult education program in a barrio and are in need of teachers for literacy, nutrition, family health, etc.

Qualifications:
- Spanish speaking
- works well with children
- able to adapt to a different culture than ones own
- self directed

    Cost Include Description:
    This cost includes volunteer coordinator's assistance, welcome breakfast, use of bicycle if needed, volunteer ID card for discounts in restaurants, gym, activities, etc.
