Description:
CC International is recruiting 160 volunteers to participate in the Olympic Game Time Volunteer Program. Volunteers will be organized into teams of ten each with a trained volunteer leader. All participants will attend a variety of Olympic Events either as spectators or volunteers. Pre-Game Training 60 hours of Chinese Language training CPR , AED and First Aid Red Cross Certification Olympic Volunteer Training using the Beijing Olympic Volunteer Manual 2 week leadership training in Beijing during summer 2007 (completed leaders only) 20 hours training Chinese culture and laws 20 hours training to understand Beijing transportation and medical systems 20 hours training regarding Olympic events, procedures and venues Background checks
Highlights:
Volunteers will work on projects for 4 days followed by 2 days off. During off days volunteers will: Visit the Great Wall Visit the Summer Palace Visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square Attend Olympic Sporting events ($200.00 worth of Olympic Event Tickets will be purchased for each volunteer approximately 6 events) Hutong Neighborhood Tour Visit various Buddhist Temples Visit Beijing Night Market and Wangfujing Street Visit the Tea Shop and see Tea Demonstration Visit the Silk Factory Explore Beijing Volunteer Projects Volunteers will work with team leaders to complete a variety of projects that support the Olympic Games as well as other environmental and human service activities during the Beijing Olympic Games August 8 - 24, 2008. The program collaborates with local NGOs (non-governmental organizations), Chinese Universities, government organizations, and others to plan and implement volunteer projects.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements for Volunteers Basic Requirements for Volunteers 1) Ability to commit to complete volunteer training March Ð July 2008 (2 hours per week) and travel to Beijing August of 2008. 2) Born prior to (but including) June 30, 1990, and in good health; 3) Abide by China's laws and regulations; 4) Able to participate in all trainings and related activities;

Community Collaborations International's Mission Statement: CCI has managed over 1000 volunteers from thirty Universities and other groups providing disaster relief and completing environmental and human service projects internationally. Since 1994, we have provided technical assistance and program development support to conservation and educational organizations nationally and internationally.
CCI works in coordination with United Nations Development Program funded Cooprena RL, Cahuita National Park, Recicaribe, The Costa Rican Ministry for the Environment, The Talamancan Association of Ecotourism and Conservation, Opportunity Access, and Asociacion ANAI winner of the prestigious United Nations Equator Award and many other national and international programs dedicated to providing volunteer services where they are needed most.
